This year, Tbilisi Open Air is set to be something truly special and unique. The city’s most iconic music festival will take place on May 24 and 25, once again at the Lisi Wonderland venue. This time, the festival will run for two days only, with the third day, May 26, reserved for a grand celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day.

The festival is gearing up to present a special edition to its audience. As the Open Air team shared, preparations are already underway to make this one of the most Georgian-inspired celebrations yet.

"Given the current circumstances, we’ve decided to switch things up and host this year’s Tbilisi Open Air in a completely different format. This special edition won’t just be a music festival—it’s going to be so much more. Alongside the music, we’ll be showcasing Georgian theater, the national ballet, local music labels, a natural wine festival, and the Tbilisi Book Fair," - we read in the festival’s announcement.

On May 24 and 25, the audience will experience a celebration of Georgian art in all its forms. The main stage will feature some of Georgia’s most beloved artists, along with some exciting collaborations. On May 24, the bands Ara & Kvela will perform alongside Merab Sepashvili, while Tamada & 4D Monster Lobsters will share the stage with georgian folklore singer Giorgi Ushikishvili. On May 25, the band Green Room will perform with Georgia’s first jazz woman, Giuli Chokheli. Legendary opera singer Paata Burchuladze will also take the stage.

Over at the Alter Stage, both days will be dedicated to PVP Flow, where you can catch thrilling rap battles like Nikki Slow vs. Grotask and Muqta vs. Mad Mose.

In a symbolic nod to Georgia’s history, only 1918 Early Bird passes will be sold (a reference to the year of Georgia’s independence). After those sell out, daily tickets will go on sale.

Part of the earnings from this year’s festival will go to the Contemporary Art and Culture Fundand the Professional Union of Musicians of Georgia. Festival's guests will also have the chance to make donations, with more details on how to contribute coming soon from the festival team.

So, Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of music, art, and Georgian culture, culminating in a historic Independence Day celebration in front of Georgian Parliament on May 26!
