Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Becomes New York’s Main Event
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding took place at Madison Square Garden, turning New York into the center of attention with celebrity guests, fans and major security measures.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez waited ten years to get married.
On August 11, 2026, the couple married at their summer home in Cascais, Portugal, choosing their own living room for the ceremony and keeping the guest list almost nonexistent. Their children were at the center of the day, while the enormous wedding one might naturally associate with Ronaldo and Rodríguez was saved for another time.
The date had its own logic. Exactly ten years earlier, Ronaldo and Rodríguez had met in Madrid, when Georgina was working at a Gucci store on Calle Serrano. A decade later, the same fashion house became part of their wedding story.
Their relationship began in 2016, when Ronaldo was already one of the most recognizable athletes in the world and Rodríguez was working in luxury retail. What followed is well documented: moves between Madrid, Turin, Manchester and Riyadh, a growing family and a relationship lived partly in front of hundreds of millions of followers. They announced their engagement in August 2025, exactly one year before the wedding.

For the ceremony, Rodríguez did not wear the enormous traditional wedding gown that might have been expected. Instead, she chose a white Gucci silk skirt suit with matching satin shoes. Ronaldo wore a custom light beige Gucci suit and loafers, while their children were also dressed by the house. The looks were created under Demna, giving the couple’s first meeting at Gucci a rather perfect fashion-world conclusion.

Rodríguez wore pieces from Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari collection, including a necklace centered around a 50-carat D-flawless diamond, alongside the enormous engagement ring Ronaldo gave her the previous year. Against the simplicity of the white suit, the diamonds provided almost all the ceremony needed.
The wedding itself took place around the same space where the family spends its everyday life. That decision feels especially unexpected considering the scale on which Ronaldo and Rodríguez normally live. This is a couple for whom private planes, enormous homes, couture and exceptional jewelry are hardly unusual, yet the actual marriage happened at home.
Juergen Teller photographed the day, which also explains why the images feel less like traditional wedding portraits and more like a family album with very good clothes. The photographs move between the ceremony, the house, details of Rodríguez’s jewelry and quieter moments from the day.

After the ceremony, the family traveled to the Sanctuary of Fátima for a private religious blessing. There was no immediate honeymoon either. Ronaldo returned to his football schedule with Al-Nassr shortly afterward.

A larger celebration with family and friends may still happen in the future. But the wedding itself was remarkably simple: ten years together, five children, Gucci, a considerable amount of Chopard and a ceremony at home.
