Versace enters a bold new era as designer Dario Vitale steps into the role of Chief Creative Officer. The announcement, confirmed by Versace and its parent company, Capri Holdings, signals an unprecedented transformation. For the first time in its 47-year history, the brand’s creative helm is neither in the hands of Gianni nor Donatella. The house now looks to Vitale to define its future.

Dario Vitale, a respected figure in Milan’s fashion scene, brings an impressive resume to the table. Born near Naples, the 41-year-old designer trained at Istituto Marangoni before refining his craft at Dsquared2 and Bottega Veneta. He then spent over a decade at Miu Miu, where he rose to the position of Design Director for ready-to-wear and visual identity.
For Vitale, joining Versace as Creative Director is a dream come true. "I am truly honored to join Versace as the Chief Creative Officer and to be a part of this special and powerful fashion luxury House created by Gianni and Donatella. It is a privilege to contribute to the future growth of Versace and its global impact through my vision, expertise and dedication”, - said Vitale. Dario will officially assume his new role in April, while Donatella turns her attention to amplifying Versace’s global presence and philanthropic initiatives.
