Zendaya Turns Myth Into Fashion at The Odyssey Paris Premiere

Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, appears to have made a private arrangement with the fashion gods. At this point, it is becoming difficult to explain the precision of every look he creates for her in any other way.

The global press tour for The Odyssey is underway, and for fashion followers, Zendaya’s red-carpet wardrobe has become an event of its own.

First, our attention was caught by the London premiere, where the actress appeared in a Schiaparelli couture gown. The dress, from Daniel Roseberry’s latest collection, seemed to travel straight from the runway to the red carpet.

By the time the images surfaced, Zendaya’s latest red-carpet appearance had already taken over Instagram. This time, the actress looked less like she had arrived at a premiere and more like she had descended from a mythological world.

For the Paris premiere, Zendaya wore a look from Givenchy Haute Couture’s Spring 1997 collection. The dress belongs to Alexander McQueen’s first collection for the house, titled The Search for the Golden Fleece, which drew inspiration from Greek mythology, particularly the story of Jason and the Argonauts.

The dress itself is extraordinary, but the true focal point of the look is Philip Treacy’s golden headpiece. It creates the illusion that Zendaya has just stepped out of a mythological world and onto the red carpet.
