Michelle Obama announces $1 million in funding through the Girls Opportunity Alliance to support girls’ education and empowerment across 15 countries.

Hillary Clinton has never been short of opinions, and she's about to share a few more. The former First Lady, Secretary of State and presidential candidate is returning to podcasting with High Stakes, a new show arriving just in time for the 2026 U.S. midterm elections.
Starting October 14, Clinton will join journalist and podcast host Kara Swisher for weekly conversations about American politics, the race for control of Congress and the issues shaping the country's future. The series will run through mid-November, with the possibility of more episodes to come.
Clinton has made no secret of her concerns about Donald Trump's second presidency. Speaking ahead of the podcast's launch, she described the upcoming elections as particularly consequential.
“I don’t think the stakes for the country and the world could be any higher,” Clinton said. “If we don’t reverse this chaos and corruption and cruelty that is being visited upon us by this administration, we won’t recognize our country.”
But High Stakes promises something beyond the familiar political interviews. Swisher, a journalist known for her candid conversations with influential figures in technology, business and politics, wants audiences to meet a Hillary Clinton they might not recognize from television.
“There’s a thing about the secretary, where it’s like, ‘Oh, if you knew her in the room, she’s so funny,’” Swisher explained. “We’re going to try to show you that room.”
The idea emerged from a conversation at a party earlier this year, followed by Clinton's guest appearance on Swisher's podcast Pivot in August. Clinton is no stranger to the format herself, having hosted more than 50 episodes of You and Me Both With Hillary Clinton between 2020 and 2023.
High Stakes premieres October 14, with new episodes available weekly through the On With Kara Swisher podcast feed.
