Natia Todua Named the Face of Jazztage Dresden 2026

Georgian singer Natia Todua has been selected as the official face of Jazztage Dresden 2026. As this year’s “Titelgesicht,” her portrait will lead the festival’s visual campaign, placing a Georgian artist at the center of one of Germany’s major jazz events.

Each year, Jazztage Dresden selects an artist as its “Titelgesicht,” or the face of the festival’s visual campaign. Todua was announced as the 2026 choice during the official presentation of this year’s program.

Taking place from October 2 to November 29, the festival will present 68 concerts across 59 days, bringing together more than 400 artists from 25 countries. Its wide-ranging program moves between jazz, soul, funk, gospel, blues, swing, chanson, fusion, Latin music, and global folk traditions.

Todua will take the stage at Dresden’s H42 on October 11 with “From Georgia with Soul,” a program shaped by her Georgian heritage and international career. Combining original material with influences from Georgian music and the traditions of soul and jazz, the concert explores themes of identity, departure, and personal freedom.

Born in Tbilisi, Todua spent her childhood in the Gali district of occupied Abkhazia before moving to Germany in 2016 to pursue music. Her breakthrough came a year later, when she won the seventh season of “The Voice of Germany” as part of Samu Haber’s team. She subsequently released “My Own Way,” competed in Germany’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and joined the jury of “Georgian Idol” in 2018.

Influenced by artists including Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, Todua has developed a sound rooted in soul, jazz, and blues, with elements of contemporary pop and singer-songwriter music. Her selection as the face of Jazztage Dresden 2026 marks another international milestone in a career that has consistently connected her Georgian origins with a broader European audience.
