The fourth season of The White Lotus will unfold in Paris and along the French Riviera. The series, which transformed the concept of luxury into a sharp lens of social observation, will for the first time step outside the familiar Four Seasons circuit and enter a distinctly European cultural landscape.
Filming is set to take place in locations that embody the essence of French heritage. Among them are Le Lutetia and the Ritz Paris – two names that have defined Parisian sophistication for over a century.
Ritz Paris
Le Lutetia, which first opened its doors in 1910 and now forms part of the Mandarin Oriental Collection, once served as a haven for Pablo Picasso, Charlie Chaplin, and Josephine Baker. The Ritz Paris, meanwhile, housed some of the city’s most enduring cultural figures, including Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Marcel Proust – people who helped turn Paris into a symbol of art and intellect.

France gives the series a new tone and rhythm. If the previous seasons explored the tropical sensuality of Hawaii, the layered beauty of Sicily, and the exotic calm of Thailand, this one ventures into a world where luxury is woven into the fabric of culture itself. In The White Lotus, such environments are never mere decoration; they reveal what happens when refinement becomes a façade and when privilege begins to crack from within.
Created by Mike White, the show continues to examine the lives of those living within society’s most privileged circles – a world where status often conceals insecurity and human fragility. The narrative remains a study of illusion and identity, of wealth and the quiet violence beneath it.
The fourth season of The White Lotus is currently in development, with filming scheduled to begin in 2026.
