Georgian artist Tamta Tavartkiladze, known as TAMARA, introduces her latest release — De la Mer, a bilingual track shaped by the quieter moods of summer. Sung in both French and Georgian, the single avoids theatrics in favor of something more precise: a tonal balance between sea, light, and stillness.
Created as an homage to the sea, De la Mer sits somewhere between chanson and ambient pop, its arrangement simple yet intentional. French and Georgian lyrics unfold slowly, almost conversationally, while melodic structures dissolve like salt air.
TAMARA’s relationship with music began early: “My connection to music started when I was very young, and my love for it comes from my family,” she says. “I started composing almost instinctively. When I was at the piano, improvising felt like the most natural way to express what I was feeling.”
TAMARA is now preparing for her first full-length release, SOLE, with De la Mer as its opening chapter. The album follows a consistent tonal path — one built around clarity, emotion, and restraint. No production excess, no forced narrative. Just finely tuned atmosphere, delivered with fluency in three languages and a distinct ear for softness.
